Once a boy, now a man; this man, now a MARINE
Once upon a timeâ¦he was just this little boy with a big heart. A love for all things Winnie the Pooh naming Pooh Bear his best friend. Like many little boys his age, he grew up with Andy on Toy Story and loved Woody & Buzz with his whole heart. This little cowboy went from shooting guns with orange tips to having paintball wars on the farm. Ask him at the age of 8 what do you want to be when you grow up, âA paleontologist!â he would answer with the most certain voice an 8 year old could have. A race against his 2 younger brothers around the house on feet, he was Tony Stewart, coming in the last turn as fast as he could go, the finish line was in sight but his brother Alex was right beside him and he used a Dale Earnhardt move and crashed Alex to have the victory. That crash was only a one of many he would cause, but this one is so memorable since the big ambulance had to come to Alexâs aid that day, he was fine after a few days but it most certainly was the biggest crash this little boy would cause on his brothers. Fast forward a couple years he is older now, 14 or so, he has a huge heart for helping others, a love for making a better place for those less fortunate he went on trips to Bear Branch, Kentucky to help restore homes. He is a soldier for the Lord, living life to the fullest as God intended and showing Christâs Love through his life. This little boy, now a man; this man, now a Marine. I know today is Memorial Day and I do want to remember those who have fought and lost their lives for our country, but the way I want to honor them is by honoring a new soldier, a Marine. He is a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a Christian, but on June 4th he leaves to begin his journey for us, for our country. Jacob, we will miss you, we love you, and we will be praying for you as you start a new life and walk away from the life youâve always known. Thank you, for what you will be doing, Thank you.Private First Class Jacob Anthony Wiser-Marine
